The Company publishes its official opinion or policy on various current aviation issues in order to inform public debate on what may be contentious matters. These policies, shown on the subpage 'Position Papers', are formulated by the members of the Company’s Working Groups and are therefore the considered, collective opinion of experts in their field. The opinions expressed here are endorsed by the Court of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots - the governing body - before publication and are therefore the Company's official stance or guidance on a given topic.
Study Papers - papers on a variety of aviation topics, not necessarily produced by the Company, but providing much food for thought
Position Papers - official Company opinion on the matters concerned
Public Speeches - Speeches made at Company events of interest to the Aviation Community
The Company debates a wide range of aviation related matters and by their nature, not all topics will lead to a Study or a Position Paper. Where debate is on-going, Discussion Papers may be published to reflect on-going discussion or research. Discussion Papers are not endorsed by the Court. Discussion Papers - illustrate areas under discussion, remain the subject of debate and therefore are not necessarily reflections of current or future policy of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots.
