Prior to May 1953 Master Air Pilot Certificates were awarded by the Air Ministry, the Guild was approved to take over this honour in May 1953 and issued certificate number 131 to W Baillie

The first Master Air Navigator Certificate was issued to B L Baldwin in October 1963 (number 340)

The first Master Rear Crew Certificate was issued to POACMN Marcus Wigfull in August 2011 (number 1067)
