Guild News is the official publication of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators, a Livery Company of the City of London, founded in 1929. The Patron is HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and the Grand Master, HRH The Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
Membership comprises Air pilots and navigators, either professional or private, from the civil or military sector, flying fixed wing or rotary aircraft, powered or unpowered, men and women. Many members pursue a range of professions, including law, accountancy, medicine, academia, consultancy, or run their own businesses.

Editorial profile:
Guild News publishes information to further the aims and objectives of the Guild including: technical and air safety matters, legislation, licensing, medicine, human elements, airmanship, international professional standards and pilot education and training. Editions include information from Government and regulatory bodies and other aeronautical institutions, as well as the Guild's benevolent fund and charitable trusts. News and information about the Guild, its functions and member activities are also carried. Features cover technical reports, professional visits and reflect a wide range of member interests.
Frequency:
Guild News is published every two months (February, April, June, August, October, December). Distribution is mainly in the UK but also includes the Guild's overseas regions, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, as well as to individual members worldwide.

Distribution is free to Guild members and by subscription at £2.50 a copy.

Materials:
Artwork should be submitted on disk or by e-mail direct to the printers in the following format: TIFF, JPEG, BMP and "press optimized" PDF files all created to the final required size at a resolution of at least 300dpi. EPS files are also acceptable provided they have fonts and images embedded. For advertisements to be place on 'colour pages' artwork files should be formatted for CMYK colour. For inside 'mono pages' artwork should be formatted for black and white. Macintosh Quark Xpress files (supplied with both the screen and printer fonts and any high resolution images used therein) are also acceptable. Please supply as single pages incorporating crop marks & 3mm bleed if required.
Deadlines:
The 10th of the month preceding the month of publication.
Cancellation:
Advertisements cancelled after the copy deadline will be charged at 50% of the rate quoted.
